Butter Crisp Ice Cream VA cups milk z teaspoons vanilla extract Yn cup sugar 2 eggs (beaten) Salt 1 cup whipping cream (whipped) Scald the milk in a saucepan on the Calrod surface unit of the Hot point electric range, turned to LOW. Add the scalded milk slowly to the augar which has been mixed with the beaten egga and a few grains of salt. Cool. Add vanilla extract. Fold in whipped cream, beaten stiff. Peach Sherbet cupa peaches 1'A cups granulated susar i 3 cups milk !4 cup lemon Juice I cup thin cream Mix peaches and lemon Juice. Add milk to augar and cream. Let stand 10 minutes. Slowly pour the milk mixture Into peaches and Juice. Pour into freezer and freeze until stiff. Remove the daaher and pack aherbet two hour to "ripen." Thl sherbet may also be frozen In the mechanical refrigerator If it la atlrred every 30 minutes during the first one and one-half hours. It will require about four hours In all for the sherbet to freeze stiff enough to serve. Diced fruit often darken upon atandlng. Sprinkle the tops with grapefruit or lemon Juice.
