There will be sufficient help avail able to facilitate the parking of motorcars and the policing of the grounds to keep spectators out of danger zones, it was stated by Max Pelree, president of Medford chapter of the National Aeronautic associa tion, sponsor of the show here. The Medford carnival will open a ten uity aerial tour through Oregon. Because a large throng la expected, spectators were advised to get their tickets In advance If possible. It was feared that some delay In getting onto the field may result If there Is too great a rush for tickets at the last minute at the airport. Early Arrival Asked Ewy effort, Mr. Pelree aald, will be made to handle the crowd expedi tiously, iweniy-uve members of the Eagles lodge, under aupervlslon of WllUsm Peck, will sell tickets at the various airnera- entrances. Tickets, which are red lapel but tons, may be obtained at Heath's drug store, The Club, Hubbard Brothers, Tellow Cab company, Hotel Medford and Jackson County Cham bar of Commerce. One ticket will admit the holder to the day-long carnival. The holder, however, does not have to remain a the field all day. He may. for ex ample, take in the plana exposition In the morning, go home or back to town and return for the sky show In the afternoon without buying another ticket, Mr. Pelree explained. All that la necessary la to show the ticket each time the spectator re turns to the field, ha added. FOREST AREA SHUT Ashland creek watershed will be elosed for the season tomorrow, -it was announced today by Karl L. Ja nouch. aupervlsor of the Rogue river national forest. The area supplies Ashland with Its water and the closure Is to protect toe city, Mr. Janouch explained, the district being highly Inflammable. Closure la authorized by federal regu lations and violations are subject to fine and Jail penalties. The closure prohibits anyone going Into or being upon the area without a permit, Mr. Janouch aald. Permits may be procured from any forest of ficer. The only persons exempt from the permit requirements are bona tide settlers living In the area. All trails and roads leading Into the dis trict are posted. The closure does not affect the Ash land scenic loop drive which I Just outside the closed area. By Geo. V.; PARADE PLANS MADE Disabled American Veterans of the World War and auxiliary completed arrangements today for use of the Medford armory as their headquar ters, It was announced by A. H. Ban well, chapter commander. The veteran units have been meet ing in the Eagles lodge hall on West Main street but decided to change when the Eagles moved to the arm ory. They will utilise the armory rooms procured by the Eagles. The D.A.V. and auxiliary meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 8 p. m. The next meeting, however, set for July 13, will be held at 7 p. m. so that members may partici pate In the parade to be held for the United Spanish War Veterans which will then be holding Its state encampment here, Mr. Banwell said. Only a brief business session will be held. The D.A.V. will provide for Gold Star mothers taking part In the parade. Earnings of 3,061 students In 300 h'gh schools through part time em ployment averaged $4 a month for nine months.
