Party Observes iMjreli Birthday Mrs. Wilbur Gardner entertained a number of small guests in honor of her daughter, Venlta. The occasion was to observe Venlta's fourth birth day. Refreshments were served at the Gardner home, the children later be ing taken to the park playground for the remainder of the afternoon. Millard performed the cerer mony and also sang "I Love You Truly" and "O Promise Me,'' pre ceding and following the service. Bride and groom were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Merle Jack, sister and brother-lnlaw of the groom, as best man and matron of honor. The bridge was gowned In pale blue ana carried a shower bouquet. The applicant said he operates a for hire service In Paris, but wishes to be classified as an Oregon operator. Increased Wages Fewer Hours Aim Embalmers Union PORTLAND, June 30. (AP) Embalmers came out today for shorter hours and higher wages. A union recently organized for embalmers seeks a 7ft-hour week, 935 minimum wage for master em balmers and $26 for apprentices, one day off and 15 days vacation with pay from undertakers. Employers wapt a 86-hour week and union organizers claimed em balmers have been working from 84 to 110 hours weekly. The girls la the 1UU port city of Klsarazu went to an old Buddhist temple.
