Cordy. neuner did it damage hay and grain, according to reports received by County Agent Robert O. Fowler. Growers feared the cherries, now be ing picked, would 'crack'. But lor the eagle eye of Colton Strater, manager, who discovered the flour moving away from the building r.rop the shoulder of Bell, the at tempted pillage would have been suc- ctssful, police say. Strater appre hended the man and called city police wno promptly removed Bell and the flour to the station house, putting tne Seattlelte behind bars and the flour n the "evidence" department. Bell told the arresting officer he didn't mean to take the flour, that mother fellow got him to take It Police said Bell told them be had been drinking for several days.
