The additional public service la to m?ke it more convenient to renew li censes and to avoid congestion In a Jut-minute rush, McReynolds said. All licenses will expire on June 30 and the time for renewal la drawing short. , he pointed out. The new licenses, cot ting the usual II. will be good for two years. It was indicated that police will be gin the checking of driver licenses Immediately after June 30 and the usual penalties will be Imposed for non -possession. The present licenses, McReynolds stressed, will not be valid after June 30. From now until the end of the month renewal blanks may be filed at city hall and an orflclal receipt will r be Issued. NO FIRE GUARDS ASSIGNMENTS YET No fire guards have yet been as signed to duty In the Rogue River natioral forest, It was stated today by Korl l. Janouch, supervisor. Not since fire guards were first emploed In 1910 has It been so late in the year that observera had not been assigned to duty, Mr. Janouch said. Purest development projects have been hindered by the weather, he added. The forest floor is still well soaked and f'shing and camping conditions are exceedingly poor, forest head quarters stated. Conditions were like ly to remain poor over the week-end, It wmq said. The service advised against fishing and picnic parties in the forest areas. All Federal savings and loan asso ciations are required to be insured. The Insurance corporation, being a mutual institution, is operated lor the benefit of Insured associations and their members. More than 1.600 savings and loan associations now have its insurance protection.
