S Bartlam read the lerflco against a background of white blos soms and greenery which transformed the church. The bride wan given away by her father. Wedding music waa played by Mrs Eva Marsh at the organ. Mrs. R. O. Mulholland. Robert Wright. J. Arthur Feek and Mrs. Royal Bebb made up a quartette singing "O. Perfect Love, preceedlng the ceremony. The song : the one played by Marcel Dupre. famous organist, at the wedding of the Duke of Windsor and Wallla War field. It la traditional wedding music of the church. The bride waa attended oy her sls ter, Mrs. Lola Day. aa matron of honor and Mlsa Jeanne Hampton, sister of the groom, and Mrs. William Cunningham. Dewey Carpenter of Portland waa best man. Ushers were Waren Brftley, Lewis Pox and Leo Mcllah of Portland, Peter Buck of Euscne and William Cun ningham and Philip Qulsenberry of Meriford. The bride's dark coloring waa set off by her white satin gown with a train. Her floor-length yell was caught at her head with orange blos osma and she carried a ahowcr bou quet of gardenias. Her attondanU were dressed In chantllly lace gowns of coral, iu and vlolene with matching petal caps. They carrlod bouquots of Talisman and yellow roses and baby breath. Following the service, guests wero received at the Quleenberry home. Mrs. N. C. Hampton, mother of the groom, wore blue lace and Mra. Qul aenborry wore dove grey crepe and lace. The young couple left for Cali fornia, planning a month's visit In the south. Returning north, they will be at home at 3409 Northeast Burnslde avenue In Portland. The bride Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wnlker Qulsenberry of this city. She attended University of Ore gon, where ahe waa a member of Oamma Phi Bete, sorority. The bride has lived In Med ford all her life end has a large number of frienda in the city and valley She has been among prominent young artists in music circles for the past several years as a violinist. Country Service Event of June S Of great Interest to their many ft lends In Medford was the recent marriage of George Mccracken, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. McCracken, to Miss Ethel Johnson, daughter of Mr bnd Mrs. Fred Johnson of Springfield, Oregon. The couple were united at Valley View, Saturday afternoon, June 5, In a simple but Impressive cere mony. Reverend Melville T. Wire of Ashland read the services. The ceremony was performed undei a large cherry tree on the lawn with roses, peonies and Christmas caotus c-.mposlng the floral background. The bride wore a light grey suit with white blouse and hat, a corsage of pink rosebuds setting off her cos tume. Miss Ruth Billings attended rhe bride and Kenneth S. Wood, brother of the bridegroom, acted as fcest man. Other than the bridal party, those present wero Mr. and Mra J. R. Mc Cracken, parents of the bridegroom John 8. The bride graduated last Monday ftom the University of Oregon, re ceiving her B.A. degree In fine arts. The bridegroom is now a senior- at Oregon State college in Corvallts. The couple will be at home to tneir lilends in Corvallia after June 30. American Legion Auxiliary Tuesday evening. June 15. the auxiliary la to serve the first father ion dinner of Legionnaires. All mem bers of Medford post of the American Legion have received invitations to the event. Each Legionnaire is to bring his son. A delightful program particularly suitable to men and boys has been provided. The dinner la to oe at 6:30 p. m. After dinner the regular meetings of the Legion and auxiliary are to lake place. The auxiliary is to have a combination business and social meeting and all members are asked to be present at 8 p. m. for this im portant meeting. The one hundred sixtieth anniver sary of. the adoption of the Stars and stripes ns the flag of the United States will be observed June 14 by American Legion auxiliary units throughout the country, according to Mrs. William, Holloway, Americanism chairman of the Medford unit. The study of flag history and flag eti quette is one of the projects of the auxiliary. The flag of the United States Is one of the oldest In tne world.
