Inc., In the 8350,000 libel suit brought by Curtis B. Dall, former aon-ln-law of Prealdent Roosevelt. Justice Ber nard L. Shelnteg set the verdict aside on motion of Dall'a counsel. "The verdict of the Jury la against the overwhelming evidence." Justice Shelntag aald. 'The plaintiff clearly established a deliberate libel. To allow the verdict to stand would be a travesty on Jus tice, and 1 have no hesitancy In aet tlng It aside." Dall baaed his suit on an article pupllshed In the April 33, 1934, Issue of "Time." The article, described by the defeiue at the trial aa "an Imagi native Illustration," told the imag ined "suicide" of Dall In the White House In the presence of his former wife and Mrs. Rooaavelt. EAGLE BOY SCOUTS ENJOY SUNDAY HIKE Troop 8, Boy Scouts sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Eaglea, enjoyed a hike last Stinday to the old summer camp near Star Ranger station In the pplegate according to Rodney Wheelock, troop historian. Cars were provided by E. F. Dryadale, commit teeman and Jack Keyland, scoutmas ter, dames and baaeball provided most of tha entertainment for the afternoon, followed by a hike. Leonard Weston, pastor of the church. Prof. Arkush, a former outstanding pianist and entertainer of world note, tits specialized on the organ, compos ing some of the most novel selections ever played on that Instrument. He is now touring the United States In gospel work. Prof. Arkush, who Is accompanied by Rev. and Mrs. Werner Bauer, of San Diego, Calif., will play b number of his compositions and arrangements of well-known hymns and relate his life story.
