' A cordial welcime and splendid Christian program of service await any who may attend. COLONEL GEORGE YORAN DIES IN LEBANON, ORE. Colonel George O. Yoran, Spanish war veteran, for many years engaged In the newspaper publishing busi ness and printing trade, died at Lebanon, Ore., Thursday st the age of 74, according to word received here Saturday. Funeral services were st Lebanon Saturday with interment In Eugene. Masonic and military services were held at the grave. Colonel Yoran was employed as printer in Medford for about six years, leaving hero In April, 1932, First Christian Church James M. Verlyn Thomas, talented nine year old violinist 'rom Gal Ice, and Marcla Van Dyke of Grant Pass, whose outstanding artistry on the violin has been attracting attention for the past two years, will appear as soloists. She Is a student of Grants Pass high school and pupil of Martin Trepte. Also appearing on the program will be the mixed choruses of the senior high school, under the dlrec- tlon of Ploy Young. They have as sisted In previous symphony con certs. The concert Is expected to be an outstanding feature of music week, and much work has been expended to present a fine performance. It Is hoped that Med ford residents will continue to sup port this musical organisation which Is composed almost entirely of young artists and which has brought much fsvorable attention to the city. Catherwood of River side, Calif., has accepted an invita tion to conduct "Quiet Half-Hour" addresses, a favorite feature of past conventions. Convention chairmen are pleased to provide opportunity for Oregon Baptists and their friends in southern Oregon to hear Rev. Catherwood, who Is high in spiritual repute. The convention program proper Tuesday at 7:30 p. m. with Rev. C. E. Dunham of Ashland presiding Rev. Rodney M. Britten will deliver the annual sermon to delegates and visitors.
