(API Stocks stepped into the recovery par ade today and retrieved fract'ons to 6 or more points of thetr recent're lapse. The come-back was accomplished on exceptionally small volume con sidering the breadth of the advance. Financial commentators thought many traders were still "frozen" In and unable to participate because of Impaired margin accounts. Others, it was believed, were & bit skeptical of the reversal of trend and declined to leave the sidelines until the right about was more definitely established. Brokerage quarters said the upturn was partly of a technical nature, in spired by considerable short covering, reinvestment demand, drying up of foreign selling and Improvement in lately weak Paris and London mar kets. Steels and rails led the revival, closely trailed by farm implements, rubbers, electrical equipment and specialties.
