Included on the program were piano solos by Miss Mary Louise Mc Elhose, who played "Love Walla." by Bchotte and "Romance." by Lb Forge, and Bern Ice Myers, playing "Danse Caprice" by Eckstein. Mrs. R. C. VanValzah reviewed They Lived: A Bronte Novel" as the principal feature of the program. Mrs. H. 8. Chtrgwln was social chairman for the affair. Assisting her were Mrs. Roy Stanley, Dr. P. O. CarJow, Dr. Susie Standard, Mrs. Flora Chllders. Mlsa Gladys Bond and Mrs. George Carter. University Women To Klamath Falls. Members of the Medford branch of the American Association of Univer sity Women will leave tomorrow after noon to attend the state convention to be held In Klamath Falls this week-end. Miss Carln Degermark. local presi dent, has been Invited to respond to the welcoming address at the ban quet scheduled for tomorrow evening. Miss .Tophlne Kirtley will be among principal speakers at the conclave, addressing the group at a Saturday luncheon ' stressing international re lations. Several members, Including Miss Degermark, Miss Klrtley and Miss Maureen Carroll are expected to at tend from here. Card Party Is Set for Saturday. Members of the American Associa tion of University women are to en tertain Saturday afternoon at a card party. The affair la scheduled for !i o'clock at St. Mark's guild hall. Mrs. W. E. The public Is cor dially invited for ah evening of cards. Visitors Here For Short Stay. Among visitors in the city thle week were: Mr. and Mrs. John Poppy, oi Klamath Falls and Mrs. T. Franco ot Ashland. They were guests yesterday of Dr. and Mrs. J. D. Rlckert. Former Residents Are Recent Visitors. Among recent visitors In the city were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Jantzen and daughter of Minnesota. Mrs. Jantzen la the daughter of Mrs. Henry Todd, who resided here with her hus band until his death a few years ago. While here the visitors were guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Todd and were greeted by a number or friends. They are returning east after spending the winter months on the coast. They left by motor Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Todd have re ceived the news of the birth of a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Walter N. Dixon, Jr., of North Carolina. Mrs. Dixon was formerly Mlsa Elinor Todd. Style Details From New York. Friday Session Postponed Week. Announcement has been made that the session of the Washington school Pa rent -Teacher association which was to have been held tomorrow afternoon has been postponed until next Fri day, April 23. The change was made In order that delegates now attending the state convention In Portland may bring re ports of the conclave before mem bers of the group. Perls Welcomed On Return Here. Being welcomed home by many mends here are Mr. and Mrs. John Perl, who have been traveling since tneir marriage several weeks ago. They returned to their home here re cently. Mr. and Mrs. Perl visited Panama Cuba and various eastern and mid- western points while away. D.A.V. Hoffman, president of the United Spanish War Veterans' auxiliary; Mlsa Cora Cox, department president of the Daugh ters of Union Veterans of the Civil War: Mrs. Elva Lough, president of the Women's Relief Corp: and Mrs. Symphony Concert Will Be High Light Music Week Events Contributed The symphony concert to be pre sented during Mu&lc week In the sen ior high school auditorium win be a special treat to lovers of good music John R. Knight, conductor, has been working tirelessly for many weeks toward this production which presents on organization and a pro gram of which Medford can well be proud. No admittance charge is made for the concert presented by the Junior Symphony organization. Mr. Knight's service Is given without financial re muneration. Appreciation of hla work and the assistance which the Rotary club offers in bearing the expenses of the musical score, etc. Is heartily felt by the entire community. It is in deed a substantial contribution to, the cultural life of the city, and thU evening of music and various added feature on the program will be one of the highlights of Medford's ob servance of music week. Cemetery The 1038 Pontlac sedan belonging to Ralph" Smith, employe at the Pine Cone, which was stolen Irom Its park ing place at the North Medford resort Tuesday night, waa reported found yesterday. According to city poll. the car was discovered abandoned In the Cen tral Point cemetery with Its license plates turned upside down and the ignition switch turned on.
