Following completion of the surveys, the records will be Bum mart red and compiled Into complete catalogue indexes, to be published and placed In libraries, stato offices and other official flics. New Names Added Many new names and Incidents have Already been added to previous knowledge of early Oregon history and a number of puzzling points cleared up. Expectations are for the acquisi tion of much additional material be fore the work Is completed. Similar work is being done through out the nation, the project having been started last March. Workers are drawn from the higher education brackets, most of them being college graduates. Records Inspected Include Informa tion concerning births, deaths, mar rlnges. law enforcement, early gov ernment, ttrowth of Oregon cities and towat, arrivals and departures, in ventiona, roads, institutions, elec tions, official reports, finances, fran chises.
