Webs tern Return Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Webster have returned home after a vacation visit to San Fran cisco and other California cities. They returned via the coast highway, con tinuing to Marshfleld and from there home. They have been away about three weeks. The Wakeflelds re cently moved from Medford to Salt Lake City where Mr. Wakefield Is manager of a newly opened Standard Oil station. Plane Grounded This morning's northbound United Air Lines passen ger ship was held In Medford because of dense fog between this city and Portland. Company officials declined to allow the ship to proceed and It was held here from 8 a. m.. its sched uled departing time. Both pilots arrived Tuesday afternoon and spent the night In Medford. Adviser Reports Victor C. Strash of Seattle reported at CCC headquar ters here today for duty as educa tional adviser at the Prairie Creek camp. Strash was educated In Russia and taught In a Chinese preparatory college at Harbin for some time. Com ing to the United States, he studied at the University of Washington where he has been completing work for his Ph. D. He la qualified In several foreign . languages and has written extensively on Oriental liera ture and history. He has recently been an Instructor in adult classes in Seattle. Eagles to Ashland Members of Medford aerte and auxiliary will at tend a meeting of Eagles In Ashland tonight. Those making the trip are to assemble at the West Main street lodge hall at 6:30 and leave for the Lithla City In a group. The aerie and auxiliary drill teams are to ap pear In uniform to parade In Ash land prior to the meeting. The Med ford aerie has wagered that It will have more members at the meeting than the Ashland chapter and so a plea was made today for members to make the trip tonight If It Is at all possible. Amount of the wager was not disclosed. Hunt Successful Col. C. L. Tinker. MaJ. Erik Nelson, Mayor George W. Porter. W. H. Fluhrer. Ralph O. Stephenson and Oene Chllders re turned late last night from a duck hunt on the lakes around Chlloquln The party had a very enjoyable time and "reasonably good luck." Mayor Porter said. Henry Wolfe of Chllo quln was host to the party. Col Tnker and MaJ. Nelson, accompanied by the wives, left here this morning for Klamatn Falls where they were to call upon Dr. C V. Rugh. who was a pilot In MaJ. Nelson's company during the World war. From there the army group was to continue north through The Dalles and Portland to Seattle, MaJ. Nelson's home city. Traveling by automobile, the two army officers and their wives arrived here Tuesday afternoon from their post at Hamilton field, Cal. It it to be Col. Tinker's last visit here for some time as he has been transferred from his command of Hamilton field to new dutlea In Washington. D. C. He has been a frequent visitor in the valley during the past 18 months and has many friends here.
