HE MADE A TEN-YEAR
TEST WITH ALL-BRAN
Say good-bye to the Headaches,
the low spirits, the sleeplessness
that often follow common constipa
tlon. Just read this letter:
' "In 1926, I started using All
Bran. And now, after ten years,
during which I have put Kellopg's
All-Bran to a long, hard test, I
m writing you this letter. It is
better to eat this food and be In con
dition, than to resort to laxatives."
fa- Bernard Altman, 63 Goodale
Poad, Alattapan, Mass.
Kellogg's All-Bran will help
you too. Its "bulk" absorbs mois
ture within the body, forms a soft
mass, gently cleanses the nystem.
.Tests prove it is safe and effective.
All-Bran Is guaranty rd. Try It
Wveek. If not satisfactory, your
Money will be refunded by the
Kellogg Company.
Just eat two tablespoonfuls daily.
Either b a cereal, or In recipes.
How much better to uso this food
than to take patent medicines. Buy
All-Bran at your grocer's. Made
by Kellogg in Battle Creek.
New Seasonings
Please Tongue
And Eye As Well
The smart hostess recognizee that
color is as Important In foods u In
flowers. Color adds eye appeal and
"appeteaalng" charm to commonplace
foods. As one popular hostess ex
presses It, "Color for lure and smart
ness; spice for flavor and piquancy."
Working along these lines, A. Schil
ling Ac Company hare presented the
new color compact, a new seasoning
and a new spice blend. The compact
Includes a bottle of red, blue, green
and yellow and a dropper I With those
four colors, your dinner table can
rival the colors of the autumn coun-1
tryslde. the flowers that bloom In the j
spring, tra la la, or the rainbow Itself. !
In these four' bottles is brighter color
for pale, uninteresting foods the
means ,to carry out a favorite color
scheme--and all the fun of experi
menting. Some time try using a drop
of Schilling blue color when making
the ice for the cocktail nest. The
bits of ice look like Jewels clear with
a hint of blue like aquamarines
Cakes, puddings, sauces appear richer
with a drop of Schilling yellow color.
When serving leg of lamb, serve mint
apples with it instead of the usual
mint sauce:
Mint Apples.
Use small peeled apples (Jonathan,
Pippins, or Roman Beauties).
1 cup sugar
4 cup water.
Bring water and sugar to boll. Drop
In apple. Keep covered with syrup
and codk gently. Add one drop Schil
ling green color, one drop Schilling
mint. Cook until apples are done
but not too soft.
They have a lovely glazed appear
ance and make a perfect garnish
around a leg of lamb. -
There are endless ways of enjoy
ing this little package of four and
one of the most enjoyable Is In the
experimenting finding out how many
things can be done with it. The one
thing to remember In using Schilling
food colors is to use very little. Deli
cate, dainty colors are much more
attractive and more appetizing.
But eye appeal Is not enough, and
A. Schilling & Company recognized
that fact a long time ago, and have
done more about it than most any
body you can mention. Their line
or spices and extracts has been a joy
and delight, for years and years, to
millions of housewives. But now they
htivp added some new thriller. Walt
tllryou try their savor salt season
ing! It's too good to be true. It
haa literally thousands of uses. In
meats, soups, vegetables and salads.
It's the last word. It gives that elu
sive continental "Chef's Special" fla
vor that marka the artist's touch.
Try It on a good Juicy steak Instead
of plain salt, just before serving. Use
It In your favorite salad dressing
you'll love It. And in some of those
vegetables that everybody should eat
but nobody wants to eat. Try it
It's something special and different.
Squash is likely to be one of the
favorite vegetables of the family if
you add one teaspoon of Schilling
Savor Salt Seasoning to the water
In which it Is boiled. Drain and but
ter as usual.
Drain V cups cooked or canned
spinach. Chop fine. Add
1 cup bread crumbs
1 cup grated cheese
1 well-beaten egg
1 teaspoon Schilling Savor Salt Sea
soning Dash of Schilling black pepper
1 tablespoon lemon Juice.
Pour in buttered baking dish. Bake
In moderate over about 25 minutes.
May be served with hot tomato sauce.
Veal Cutlets Special.
Qje small onion chopped fine. Fry
In hot vegetable shortening until
clear. Add veal cutlet which baa been
dipped in egg and rolled in cracker
crumbs. Sprinkle generously with
Schilling Savor Salt Seasoning. Brown
both si. When tender place cut
lets on hot platter.
Add to gravy in pan. 4 cup ketch
up. cup hot water. Let boll up
pour over cutlets and serve. De
licious! And there's a new spice blend
Schilling Chill Pepper Spanish Blend.
This new spice blend la a menace to
monotony In meals. It is a blnd of
chili and other spices chill without
the excess "hotnees. Meat balls,
stews, meat loaf in fact practically
any meat dish la stimulated by the
adltlon of a dash of Schilling Chili
Pepper Spanish Blend. Its tantalizing
flavor in soups, salad dressing, sand-
