CULLS
The elimination of B&rtlett culls
from future cannery sales was dis
cussed by the Rogue River Valley
Traffic association at its weekly
luncheon-meeting at the Hotel Hoi
'.and Thursday. No definite actK n was
taken but plans were made for fur
ther consideration.
It was brought out that elimina
tion of culls would raise the price of
prime pears. The meeting was in
formed that about one-quarter of the
Bartletts canned in California Inst
-cason were culls.
It was stated that if the canneries
were compelled to take only quality
264.04 pears it would not be necessary to
263.50 Ship so many to the fresh fruit re
