Woatherford, pastor evangelist, gave the fourth of a serlos of ser mons on "The Second Coming, and the Thousand Years of Christ s Reign. Upon the Earth." He read the fol lowing scriptures: Rev. 31:6, IsaJah 3, 1:4; Isaiah 1-9; and Mtcah 4, 1:8. In part the speaker said. Referring to the millennium, it Is reckoned as u period of one thousand-years; dating from, the descent of Christ with his saints, which in augurates His literal earthly region. It' marks thb overthrow and the sub duement of all evil forces and the binding and securing of satan tn the abyss. Our word millennium Is de rived from the Latin world mine, meaning t thousand, and annas, a year. The Greek word for a thousand la chlllol; hence the early Christ ians were called Chll lasts. "Doctrine takes it's rise from the Infallibility of Ood'a word. What Ho says la tmutable. That the Bible is a sure word of prophesy, let us be assured. The Bible repeatedly prophesied His first coming centuries before His advent. For instance, the prophecy of His birth, Isaiah 7-14, synchronous events, 'Tho New Testament repeatedly teaches that the coming of Christ with His bride (tho resurrected and caught up saints), and the initiation of the messianic kingdom reign are syonchronous events. "There is a preparation vitally neo- essary If privileged to enjoy this kingdom reign and be forever witn Christ. It requires a knowledge of sins forgiven and the Holy cleansing presence of the Spirit of uod." High School News by STUDENT REPORTERS 1 Dy Mary Wallace.
