Harding, state regent, yesterday afternoon on her official visit to the chapter. Perry where they wore Joined by a number of guests. An Invitation had Been extended to the entire membership of the Wednesday Study club, i large number of whom were present. Included on the afternoon's pro aram were vocal solos by Mrs. B. W, Webster, accompanied by Mrs. Bva Marsh, and a discussion of the Btatue of Liberty by Miss Jane Snodlcor, who told the history of the statue, wnicn was dedicated 60 years ago on Oct. 29, Mrs, Harding addressed the group, telling of her trip to Washington, D.O., last spring where she represent ed, the state at the national constitu tional congress of Daughters of American Revolution. She reported on events of the conclave and des cribed various phases of the Journoy. A tee, hour at the Perry home fol lowed Mrs. Harding's address. Mrs. Hording returned late this week from eastern Oregon, where she was entertained In a number of eltles on her official visits to various chapters. She plans to leave Tues. day for the north and will spend about three weeks visiting diopters from Roseburg north. : The Mount Ashland chapter wan hostess for Mrs. Harding in Ashland Friday afternoon, arranging a lunch eon In her honor. Approximately 100 out of town delegates attended the three-4ay ses sion. Rev. Harry B. McFadden of Portland gave a number of talks to the young people, stressing the fact that there Is no real "youth prob lem" but that young people should be looked upon as members of the church family and given an oppor tunity to aerve ond participate In the church activities, with definite responsibilities given them. All work Ing together will moke a complete church life, he said. Other outstanding events of the meeting were addresses given by Mrs. Fred Ncal, of Africa, Rev. California to New York City, continuing from there to Petersburg, Virginia, where they will be the guests of Mr. QuickC's family before returning to make their home in Los Angeles. . Mrs. Qulcke is a former resident of Medford and has many friends here. She has resided in San Francisco for the past five years.
