P. Lange. Throughout the whole car engin eering refinements and Improvements have been made. Every change Is a refinement which makes it a bigger value, according to Plymouth en gineers, Mr. Lange says: "The new 1937 Plymouth looks like $1200 but It will sell In the $800 class. It Is the finest and most beautiful low priced car ever offered the American public. It has some sensational ride improve ments that will win Instant approval and a silence In operation never be fore achieved In a low price car." One of tho most outstanding of the new Improvements on the 1937 Ply mouth is the new Hypold rear axle. Plymouth la the only low price ear with It. It gives one and one-half to two times the life of spiral bevel gears, with a more quiet operation. Plymouth engineers have done a G man Job In tracking down enemies of safety. They studied hospital records and thousands of accident cases. They talked to doctors. They found that many injuries In automobile accidents come from pas sengers being thrown against controls and other protruding objects. As a result of this research, the Plymouth Interior has been cleared of these things. And In working toward greater safety In automobile design Plymouth engineers found It possible to develop new beauty In the 1937 Plymouth that raises the standard of style and luxurious appearance. Another Important refinement In the new Plymouth Is easier steering, It gives a faster response with less effort, no "wind wander" and "wheel fight." The 1937 Plymouth wheels keep straight ahead In gravel. heavy dust or snow. The 1037 Plymouth offers greater stability. In addition to low centor of gravity It has a wider tread. The new rabbeted, or offset, con struction of the box section steel center posts add strength and rigid ity, and eliminates drafts around door edges. Mr. Lange says: "Those to whom value is primarily a matter of size and roominess are exclaiming over the gen. erous dimensions of the new Ply mouth. Greater length, a wider body with wider seats, more head room and unobstructed leg room give the 1937 Plymouth the luxury that Is possible only with extra size. "The low price car buyer has never before been offered such size and roominess as are found In the 1937 Plymouth. Never before have we been able to offer car buyers so much auto mobile for the money. He promised theVe that "as long as I have anything to do about It," there "never will be a federal tax on farms or homes." He said, at Lincoln, his own seven- sentence record of aid to farmers could be expanded by every man and woman on a farm 'In termB of the recovery that has come to each of them In the last three and a half years." This was the record he outlined: 1. Raised farmers net annual in come by (3,000,000,000. 3. Saved thousands of homes and farms from foreclosure and reduced farmers' .debts. 3. H. T. Gorrell. United Press corres pondent with the loyalists at La Navas Del Marques, a loyalist base east of Naval pawl, reported by tele phone that the rebel had captured El Hoyo De Pinares, eight miles south of Naralparel. The fall of Ccbreros, 3 miles south of El Hoyo on the Navntparel- Madrid highway, was believed emml nent. Although El Hoyo is a small village.
