It Is also more than a possibility that Larry MacPhall, late of the Reds, will step Into John Oor- man's ahoes as general manager of the dafflneaa boys. Some days ago, when It waa ru mored MacPhall had his eyes on the St. Louis Browns, this oorner won dered how he and Rogera Hornaby would hit It oft. When Rogers answers the 'phone he always eoys, 'Hello, MacPhallure." There were a lot of laughs In the firing of Stengel. Casey, who Is ex porting the world's series for a news paper syndicate, arrived at the park yesterday, found stranger In his seat and demanded: "Have I been fired here, too?" When they'd recovered Moore threw the Italian out of the ring and the two stood toe to toe and slugged through the ropes. Belcastro standing on the apron, while Referee Swede Anderson tried to break them. Belcastro, unable to ' get a good awipe at Moore, wound up and whacked Anderson on the back of the head, sending him slumping to the floor, out colder than a dead fish. The rocotl knocked Belcastro backwards onto the floor where a spectator decided that would be a good time to kick blm. The Lethal Latin leaped to hia feet, cracked the spectator resoundingly on the mouth. kicked him once for good luck, and retired bock Into the ring. There, with Mooro still sadly pondering the prostrate form of the fallen arbiter, Belcastro sneaked up behind his en emy and knocked him cold, diving on top for a body press. i Anderson eventually emerged from the ether, looked around In befuddle ment, found Belcastro on top of Moore, and patted the Italian's back In token of victory. When he realized what he had done Anderson wanted to drag the winner out behind the Arm ory to "have It out," but the coast champion was not available he was being bustled to his dressing room under a police esoortl In the middle evont ues Wolfe-con tinued to flaunt Ills new found skull duggery against Joe Hubka, and won on a fluke after t le Nebrarkan ap parently bad the match 1'A the bag Wolfe took the first fall In the seo weks the crowd booed and oat- after kicking iTubka low. It was In that round that Hubka backed the Texan Into a corner and looped Wolfe'a foot over the top ropea In a aproad eagle, from where he rained In el bow slams. Wolfe slugged hi way out of that. In the next round Wolfe again In- sltted on kicking low and Anderson attempted to break It up. Wolfe hit him and ran from the ring, from where Hubka leaped and pulled him Inside with a flying head scissors, tsklng the fall with an airplane scis sors and a body press. In the fourth round Hubks swarm ed onto Wolfe so as not to let him recover from the beating he had Just taken, and the rexan did as convln. clng a monkey ot as could be seen at the Bronx coo. While Hubka was holding hla feet for an attempted Boston orab, Wolfe rsn around tho bottom rope with hla hands, for all the world like a spider monkey run nlng along a vise. Hubka finally pried him loose from the ropes and Jumped on his back for a flgure-4 scissors' of his own, steering Wolfe around the ring like a home by blind folding him and pulling nls head to one side or the other. Wolfe f.nally dived over the ropea while groping about, the weight of both men land ed on Hubka'a back, and the Nebraa- ksn was all through, exoepi for ab. aorblng a few more of Wolfe'a low punches.
