FALL Rome extension units of Jackson Bounty will Mart their fall work In home economics extension projects this month' under the direction of Mabel C. Mack, county home demon stration agent. The first district meeting Is sched uled at Talent city hall, next Friday, Sept. 4, at 1 :30 p. m., for Talent, Ash land and Bellvlew units. The project selected for September entitled "Taking Inventory of Our selves." Is one unit ot the child de velopment and parent education pro ject. The discussion next Friday will aO lead by Mrs. MaudA M. Morse, ex 'tension specialist In parent education end child development. The subject promises to be a very , interesting and Instructive one. Mrs. Morse says, "to gain happiness we need to know whst we wsnt. and to learn how to get It; but first we must come to know ourselves." Overstreet In the book entitled "About Our selves." says, "The difficulty with most of us Is that we suffer from the familiarity which breeds a dulled awareness. Ourselves we have with us always, and In consequence we know least about ourselves." Every homemaker In the county Is extended an Invitation to attend the nearest district meeting and partici pate In this study. Meetings will be he:d In the following districts: Med ford. Home extension units are planning these programs to be fall "Bally Days" and hope to enroll many new mem bers for the adult extension projects i for the year. Dehusk. founder of a nationally famous dlnlc for atypical children at tne Univer sity of Oregon, will carry on his work, Dr. J. R. Jewell, dean of the school of education, aald today. Dr. Debusk died last July. Dr. Mpntgomery was his first ssslstsnt and was prominent In his work of going to the source of resdlng diffi culties among children and applying correctlvea. NEXT GRAND JURY The auto accident ltwt April 29. on th North Pacific highway, In which Ruth Rlggs sustained severe Injuries in , collision between 'a small auto driven by Roland Tremalne and a Rogue River Meat company truck driven by W. T. Lehman, will be placed before the coming session of the grand Jury, District Attorney George A. Codding said today. The small auto telescoped and sear ed by flames, In the crash, was placed on a platform at the chamber of Commerce as an exhibit In the "Let's Quit Killing" campaign last spring. The grand Jury Is scheduled to con vene the fourth Monday In October, when a new term of the circuit court will start. Owing to the lack of criminal oases to Justify the expense, tho trrand Jury has not been convened for close to tlx months, county officials explain. FOR ROOSEVELT CLUB Fred Kelly and Jeanne Fabrlck to day began the work of organizing a Roosevelt for President club in Jack son county. Appointed by Carl Don augh of Portland, stat head of the organization, Mr. Kelly la director of the men's and Miss Pabrlck of the women's divisions here. Both local directors were today pre paring a list of organizers to as&lst in formation of a large club unit in Jackson county. They planned to have the list of organizers completed by Saturday. B My natt, passed away early this morn ing at their home on the Butte Fall road near Crater Lake highway. She had been In falling health for the last three years. ' Mra. Mynatt was born In Lane county. Oregon April 16. 1869. At the age of 19, she was married at Prtne vllte. Oregon to Mr. Mynatt. The family came to Jackson county from the John Day country twenty-six years ago. She leaves beside. her husband, two sons. Joe and Lawrence Mynatt and one brother, U. Q. Hale of Seattle. Funeral services will be held at the Conger chapei at 2:30 Saturday with Rev. Powell officiating. Internment will be in the Ant loch cemetery. CORVALLIS. Sept. 3.
