Mrs. Martin three years ago gained
considerable publicity for her role In
the Banki-Feht agitation, and was
president of the "Oood Government
Congre," around which Banks and
FVhl, now both In state prison, built
their turmoil.
District Attorney Ocorge A. Cod
ding yesterday filed his petition for
nomination, with the secretary of
state. He Is the only democratic As
pirant. Three have filed for the re
publican nomination Victor A. Teng
wald, Kramer Deuel and Frank J.
Newman have filed for the republican
nomination.

TRACK TECHNIQUE
Saturday morning at 9 o'clock a
demonstration In all track and field
events for the benefit of Junior high
and grade school boys will be given
at the new senior high school ath
letic field. Coach Bower man of the
senior high and Coach Achlaon of
the Junior high will be on hand to
conduct the demonstrations, with
senior high track stars participating
In the various events.
Form will be stressed in the vari
ous events. Bowerman said that
there will be no races, but that
starting and other phases will be
demonstrated to give the younger
boys an Idea of the things thst will
be demanded of them when they
reach high school competition.
Although pole vaulting and the
weight events will be shown, the
younger students will not be asked
to compete In those events, Bower
man said,

Born prematurely and nurtured
with utmost cans In a hospital Incu
bator, the baby appeared past the
crisis of Immaturity and well on the
way1 to normal Infant hood when a
change was noticed in her condition
yesterday, grew rapidly pronounced
and resulted In her death two hours
later.
Dr. John W. Sheniok, who con
stantly tended the mite, said her
death was due to Immaturity and Im
proper development and functioning
of some of the vital organs. He add
ed that anemia contributed.
Nancy Lee was born February 3 to
Mrs. Anne Vogt, nurse at the hospital
where the baby spent Its AO daya of
existence In an Incubator. The father,
Paul Vogt, wss In a Bakersfleld, Calif.,
sanltorlum at the time of his daugh
ter's birth.
