The Auto mobile (Manufacturer association to day announced that production of Automobiles gave work In IMS to a higher average number of person than In any preceding year except one. The employment total for the year Just past came within ten thousand men of equalling the 1029 11 -time record of 447,000 worker. This occurred dexplte the fact that the 1935 output of motor vehicles vaa still a million and a quarter cars below the 1020 mark, according to Alfred Reeves, vice-president and general manager of the association, summarizing a study of employment In automobile assembly, body and parte plants based upon the com pllatlona of the U. 8. bureau of labor tat lt lea and the U.
