Fur thering the cause 1 the fact that the manager, Sharkey Sherrltt, Is an ex-baseball player, a Softball player, ana a -wizard on the handball court. Wliton White of the station force Is tho same Wilton White who used to hold down a very capable tackle posl Un on Medford high school football teams as well-as being a star at bas ketball and baseball, and later a Unt verstty of Idaho athlete. The newest recruit to the staff Is big Bill Morgan, who needs no Intro, dvctlon. For four years the out standing tackle ever to play for the Medford high school football squad. as well as winning an all-state to ketball berth, and a catcher on the high school nine, he later went to Oregon and wai a star freshman tackle, then var sity tackle for three years, as well as playing basketball for the strong DeNeff quint In Eugene. Since leav Ing college he has played professional fottball for the New York Giants, taking all-American pro ranking f ye the past two years. He Is easily rec ognized as the king of' all Oregon graduates to the pro football ranks. What puts the staff In a quandary Is the fact that they can't unearth any athletic background for the fourth ' member of the staff. Bill Sllnger. BUI won't admit having w done anything more athletic than to run up a column of figures, and his determination to remain off the broken bone list has, as we said, left the rest of the lads In a quan dary. . We gave the boys a good Idea yesterday, whereupon their faces lit up hopefully. Since the sug , gestlon treats Mr. Sllnger a bit roughly for a non-athlete, they may have to uncover another way out of their enigma. This Is the suggestion: " All they have to do 1? to change the "1" In BUI to "u,M and they have It, Any man nam ed Bull-Sllnger automatically Is classed as an ten let e by those who will have occasion to read about him. All we hope Is that after hearing this, Sllnger doesn't sud denly turn athlete, with a club, after all these years.
