Mr. Thomss, a member of the forest serv ice, explained the pictures snd com mented on value of the forest for lumber, recreation and prevention of floods. In his lecture XIr. Thomaa particu larly stressed th damage done hy for est fires, how easily they are started, and how the forest service works In locating and extinguishing a fire af ter It Is started. Hy Don Youneer Basketball games are being played every Monday evening by the future craftsmen olassea under direction of Letand Mentzer. During the last three week games have been played between th appren tices, who work In the afternoons and the regular shop workers. The determining game was played Monday evening In the boys' gym. Th ap prentices won by the email margin of 28 to 25. After the game the boya were taken to the cafeteria, where they were given a chill feed. Mrt. antes' cooking classes prepared the chill and the boys contributed 10 csnt each to help cover the cost. Thlrty-elBht boys attended the meal. Afterwards' each helped clean the room and wash the dishes.
