Ruby and Nedra Schulz each gaev a musical solo and Ruth Perdue told about the first Christmas of all na tlons. f-anta Claus came and passed out the presents and gave every boy and girl In the community a sack of treats. Mr. and Mrs. John Nelson went to San Francisco to spend the holl d lys. Mr. and Mrs. Lawson of Trail were Friday evening visitors at the Brown home and attended the Christmas program. Frank Nelson and Marvin Oarrett of Medford came out to the Christ mas program Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Frlnk entertained with a Christmas dinner for their family and two little grandchildren. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schulz and little daughter and son and Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Wilson of Sams Valley. The home of Ray Blaine was the meeting place of a Joyous Christmas crowd as Grandma Blaine and all her sons and daughters and all the grand children were there to enjoy the good time. A Christmas program was given by the Leurelhurst school December 20, which was much enjoyed by the many who attended. Mrs. H. M. von Stein spent several days In Medford last week where she received medical treatment.' Mr. and Mrs. R. H. A 1 worth visited several days with Medford friends over Christmas. Quite a number of McLeod people attended the Christmas program given by the Prospect school the evening of December 20. A most unique Christ' mas program was enjoyed by a large number. A few days' skating tn an eddy of the Rogue was a welcome sport a number of our boys enjoyed during the cold spell p recced Ing the present rainy spell. This eddy Is situated on the north side of a high hill where no sun can reach the Ice at this season. A stallion has recently been added to the livestock on the Hastings ranch. Danny and Walace Ohxt apent a few days' Christmas vacation at their home, returning Thursday and Friday to their respective Jobs In Medford. The Prospect high school basketball boys are making use of their Christ mas vacation by frequent practice. Rumors are afloat that McLeod will soon have Its own postofflce, which Is to be stationed it. Tate's store. 4 Oak Grove OAK GROVE, Dec. 80. (Spl) Oak Grove Community club had a pound party at the school house, each member bringing a pound of something for the school lunches. The hot lunches will be served when school starts Monday. All pupils are requested to bring bowls. Those members who didn't attend the pound shower are asked to please send their contributions Monday. It was decided to start a thrift basket. One member Is to put an article In the hasket and pass It to another member who will take the article, leaving the price, and put In another and pass It on, in this way raising funds for the hot lunches. The following committees were appointed : finance, Mrs. Me lt night, Mrs. Troxell and Mrs. Billl; entertainment, rotating, first, Mrs. Thomas and Mrs. Reich; member ship, Mrs. Waldron.
