RATE OF BIRTH IN FRANCE REVEALS E PARIS (UP) In 15 year Franosj will have fewer men of 30 and 3 years than men of 06 and 00 and the population will have decrease from 41,000,000 to 30,000,000 If th steady slump In the birth rate does -not ceaae. Statistics show that In lefts there were 1,134,000 babies born In France, the maximum birth rate. In 1934 there were only 677,000 babies born, 110,000 of which were children of for. Igners. Thus a decrease of 375.CK.0 births annually, a decrease of mora than one-third, has taken place In as year. During this period from 1808 to 1034 the population has In- , creased from 38,000,000 to 41,000,000. The Increase In total population can be explained by the fact that mora foreigner have been naturalized. From 1033 to 1034 the decrease In th birth rat was still more rapid and show that 46,000 fewer bable war born per year than In previous year. Statisticians who have studied thesa figures say that there will be a stilt further decline In the blrtli rat and that In the next 10 year an average of only 500,000 babies will be born annually In France. . . Various organisations for the In crease of the French population have tried to stimulate Interest In this subject. A film waa made recently to point out the gravity of this subject. The film showed that the normal population of a country la comprised of many children, many adult and few old people. The normal situa tion 1 reversed In France, where there are many old persona and too tew children and young people. If this condition continue to the year 1050 there will be more middle aged people than young people. The pop ulation will be decreased by 12,000. 000. In other words, the birth rate In 10."0 will be 300000 per year In contrast to a death rate of 630,000. . Yamhill Starts School Building MoMlNNvruje. Ore..
