Wal thall and Alan Dlnehart, one of the moat startling modern dramas ever produced by the motion picture In dustry, comes to the Rialto theater tomorrow and Wednesday, with scenes of unmatched spectacle and soul-stirring sights that leaves one bresthess In their mighty sweep. The thrilling adventure of the Im mortal Dante In his Journey through Joan Crawford In New Type Picture (Jraterian Screen Joan Crawford brings a new kind of picture, aa well as a new leading man to the Craterlan theater thla week with her new production, "I Live My Life," which opened ft8 local run yesterday. The story Is novel, dramatic and at times uproariously funny. The leading man is Brian Aherne, the distinguished English actor, who with this picture comes Into his own as a leading man to be reck oned with. Aherne Is an archeologlat In "I Live My Life," as hard-boiled and city-hating as they come. When first he sees the beautiful girl from the yacht In the quiet bay of the Greek Island where he has been dig ging, he's uninterested. She's obviously rich, and rich girls. to him, are psrasltea. When she tells him, however, that she is the owner's secretary, love comes In a rush. Thus begins a romance that rises to all-absorbing proportions. When, however, the archaeologist follows the girl to New York, dis covers that she Is In reality the rich man's spoiled daughter, trou- ble and laughter begin. Miss Crawford has never been more glamorous than In this sprightly, magnificently mounted production. Her Adrian-designed costumes are quieter, yet more stunning than ever before. Interior settings are In exqulslts taste, while the out- of-door scenes are as magnificent Glamorous Joan At Shows 1:45 M 6:45-9:00 ffl W A rroa a I fl"stTrTilallfTTVua' I WED. ONLY!
