The names of contributors at that time will be sent to the national headquar ters at ashmgton, and will represent the number of people iu Medford and vicinity, who cared enough for Will Rogers and a memorial to perpetuate his memory to forward a few dimes and nickels to this office. , As before stated, no funds are to be directly solicited and no large amounts are requested. Those in charge of the memorial are more interested in the number of people participating in the movement, than in the amounts of the individual contributions. As far as Medford is concerned there has been one contribu tion of $5, the other contributions ranging from ten centB v. one dollar. The response to date, we might add, has been far below expectations. ' . , If this means the people of this city as a whole do not wish to give anything to this Memorial, that is perfectly all riant, as tar as tnis paper is concerned.
