lowe'en season. After the dinner Mrs.
Shores outlined some of the new
rules and plana for the coming sea
son. The club li devoted to social
and benevolent work. There were 13
members present, all of whom en

The primary teachers of the oak
Orove school gave a Hallowe'en party
for their pupils and the parents
and younger brothers and slaters at
the school house Thursday. Tables
and walls In the basement were deco
rated for Hallowe'en and the chil
dren, as well as the parents, had
a very enjoyable time.
There was a board meeting at the
school Tuesday evening.
About half the children of the
school were Inoculated against diph
theria last week.
The neighborhood boys ' played
touch football with the Oak Grove
school team two evenings last week.

Angeles, I had the privilege which
was really a great one of seeing and
hearing General Evangeline Booth,
now the head of the Salvation Army,
aa you know, worldwide.
I have written It or her up. In I
hope, an Interesting and worthwhile
way. and am enclosing copy herewith,
hoping that you may find it suitable
to use In the Mall Tribune. I believe
a good many of the readers would
be interested to see it.

will have one of their biggest Jobs
to do.
The reason for thle Is that the
trensury Is planning to put out a
dollar bill of new design. So the
old bills, to a total of 7S9.B9,
177, will be fed Into the machines
as fast as they come In.
The machines not only chop
them, but pound them Into a pulp
so they can be made Into new
bills.

after closing the Los ngeles congress.

her generalship and her own person
ality this eloquence unmeasured.
