Stalling were hostesses to the Ladtea
club In the school building October
17. Roll call was answered by mem
bers, the spirit of Hallowe'en pre
dominating. Another payment was
made on the stage equipment pur
chased by the president, Mrs. Geo.
McDonough, and the financial report
revealed that the club will soon have
all bills paid and an attractive living
room set for the auditorium to be
used In school and neighborhood
stage entertainments. For recreation
the hostesses entertained with Inter
esting guessing contests. Refresh
ments were served on tables decorat
ed In Hallowe'en symbols. Grandma
WUhlte, of -Eagle Point, past presi
dent of the club, was present and
given a seat of honor. Thirty visitors
and members were present.
Robert Clark, who makes his home
at the John Hall place, received a
telegram Thursday from His mother,
relating the death of his step-father,
Chas. Walker at Yuba City, Cal.
Sams Valley extension unit met
October 24 with an attendance of

with Mrs. Dick Straus as leader. A

Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Oalloway re

their daughter Buth, who was laid to
rest beside a brother and sister In the

unbelievable minutes, Ohio State's
famed "Scarlet Scourge" of football
was shackled and licked by Indiana
today, but It broke away from Its
old relentless force and crushed the
valiant Hooslers, 28 to 8. under an
