Town Club Dance
Opens Fall Social
Season's Activities
Thfl fall social seanon pre Rented
Its first big affair last night when
members of the Town club opened
the year's festivities with a supper
dance at the club house.
During the summer vacation w
cm, activities around the Town club,
as well as with all other social or
ganizations, were few, as members
and friends enjoyed vacations and
trips out of town. Several nearby re
sorts have proved exceedingly poou
lsr with townsneoole, especially Dia
mond lake and Lake o' the Woods.
A number of those active In local
social circles have summer homes of
thHr own on Rogue rlvtr and other
valley beauty spots.
While many have preferred local
reports, where they are able to be
close to attend to necessary busl
bum, others have spent the summer
traveling more or less distantly.
. However, despite the beautiful
weather sttll lingering In the valley,
summer for most Is definitely over,
and organisations and private cir
cles are showing Increased activity,
beginning the heightened social
tempo which marks the winter sea
