McCoy, Ashland will lold Its first meeting today for the mrpose of organizing and discussing )lans for the budget. A chairman tnd a secretary will be chosen. First egular meeting of the budget com nlttee is scheduled for next week, "he sessions will be held, County fudge Day said today, so they will tot conflict with the business duties if the appointive members. Most of the county officers and de ls rtments have submitted their bud jets for the year. For the most they ire the same as last year. Some of the roads are now In such ihupe, the county stands to lose the original investment, unless they are Ilxed. There are a dozen or so bridges that aeed repairs, and It is planned to put hem in first-class shape. The coun ty court figures, if an accident should occur the resultant damage suit would more than offset the amount saved. (UP) The Oregon liquor control commis sion today heeded the grumbling of liquor buyers concerning unwieldy current permits, which have to be folded several times to fit a blllford. Permits next year and thereafter will be printed on small cards of bill fold size. The 1P38 permit will be green, and the color will be changed annually. Stubs of duplicate record will be filed at the store of purchase to permit closer checking on permit holders. - The commission revealed that sale of permits to September 1 netted $79,587.50, despite reduction from $1 to 50 cents this spring. The commis sion sold 112,738 permits this year. The .commission revoked 10 beer licenses including that of Dorothy Jennings, Medford. accused of per mitting her license- to be used by another operator, and Erwln Sanger, Estacada, accused of selling beer to a minor. 4 .
