the Portland office of the adminis
tration said, farmers will be financed
for purchase of tools, livestock, feed,
fertilizer, building materia ana
other supplies. Operating expenses,
also, may be met from the loans
when conditions warrant.

are attempting to eke out an exist
ence on submarglnal land. The first
requisite for qualification will be
occupancy of good farm land.
The loans will be extended from
two to five years and the Interest
rate will be five per cent,
