TALENT. Aug. 33. (Bpl) At the
meeting of the city council last Fri
day night, there were about thirty
five citizens who listened to Attorney
Neff of Medford explain Just what
the city would have to do to obtain
a fund grant from the PWA to build
s sewer system, the grant to be 46
per cent of the proposed cost of the
sewer.
Attorney Neff stated that the city
council had full authority under the
chartor to bond the town. After an
open forum discussion, a motion was
made urging the council to take im
mediate action to secure the federal
aid. If feasible.

here from their home at Rainier, Ore.,

a guest over Sunday of her mother,
Mrs. M. B. Rlchey, and her sister.

Mrs. C Koeler and two sons are
visiting Mrs Koeler's daughter In
Dunsmulr. Cal,
Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Lundy and Lieu
tenant and Mrs. Mattlson and chil
dren are spending the week end at
Crescent City and Gold Beach.
Mrs. W. P. Elson was entertained

tee, Okla., who have been visiting at
the home of L. H. Hughes, have lo
cated In Mrdford.
Little Virginia Steele, the grand
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Steele,
had the misfortune of getting her
arm caught In a wringer on the wash
ing machine and crushed the bone.
Bert Standi ff of Phoenix was In
the valley Wednesday buying pears.
Allen Busey Is working at night at
the Pinnacle cold storage in Med
ford.
John Kristof, Misses Helen, Lillian.
Josephine and Dorthea Kan tor went
on a swimming party to Jackson Hot
Surlngs Tuesday evening.
Nick Overman, formerly of Fern
Valley, is the life guard at Jackson
Hot Springs.
Mrs. L. H. Hughes accompanied Mr,
and Mrs. A. Benson to Grants Pass
Sunday. They drove down'to take
Mrs. Challson, who had been a week
end guest, to her home. Francis
Benson remained for a week's visit at
Grants Pass.
