Parson of this city and Seattle, their daughter MUa Mary Bowno Parsons became the bride of John Stewart Day, son of Judge and Mr. Earl B. Day of Sam Valley at 1:00 o'clock limt night, while Mr. Carl ton J fines played Mendelssohn's "Wedding March on the violin, accompanied by Mrs. Janes at the piano. The wedding gown of cream satin had a high neck line and bertha of lace with the tulle veil and Limerick lace caught with orange blossoms and falling from the head to the end of the train, a replica of her mother's weilng gown. The bridesmaid, Miss Betty Bard well, wore a gown of Elinor blue chif fon with bertha of pale blu com bined with Elinor blue, with acces aorles to match. She carried a bou quet of pink roses and blue delphin ium. The brlde'e mother was wearing ft gown of pastel print with a corsage of yellow roses, the same as that car ried by the groom's mother, who wore a blue lace gown. The bridegroom's sister. Miss Nancy Day, wore yellow taffeta. Eric C. Westergren, Edward Reames, Charles Reum, William S. Nowhall, P. K. Deuel and George H. Parsons acted as ushers, and assisting were Mrs. D. A. McDonald, Mrs. B. J. Day, Jr., Mrs. Robert Maentz, Mrs. Charles Barnes, Mrs. J. C. Daniel, Miss Dorothy Roberts, Miss Mary Hayes, Miss Olorla Oetchell, and Mlsa Betty Bardwell. The Rov. Frederick A. Kennell Ellis Studio Phone 329 Silver Anniversary For Carl Ludwigs Last Tuesday evening Mr. and Mrs. Ludwlor of 611 Austin street were very pleasantly surprised when about 35 members of Mistletoe club, and friends, appeared unannounced to help them celebrate their twenty fifth, or "stiver" wedding anniver sary. The club presented them witn a beautiful sheaf of flowers and ft sil ver sugar and cream set. Mr. and Mrs. Roy McConichle gave them a silver salt and pepper set. At the close of the very enjoyable evening, delicious refreshments were served, Including a lovely appro priately decorated cake. Lofland of South Oak - dole, and Miss Althea Mitchell daughter of Mr. and Mra. W. W. Mitch- ell of Chicago and Panar. . were united in marriage at Lima, Peru, on August 3, according to Mr. Lofland's parents. , Miss Mitchell is one oi two aaugn- ters. She Is a graduate of the uni versity of Illinois, and for three years was on the teaching staff of San tiago college, in Chile. It was while In Chile that she met Mr. Lofland, who since the first of the year haa been acting engineer for the Cerro de Pasco Copper corporation at Oroya, Peru. Mr. Lofland graduated from the Medford high school in 1031, and is well known In this city, where he made his home for several years. Rob erta, of South Orange street of the marriage of her daughter. Miss Alice (Sally) Leach Roberts, to Mr. 'Elmer (Bill) St. Clair Morgan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude M. Morgan of Seattle, formerly of Medford, on Saturday. August 24. Both are graduates of the Medford high school. Miss Roberts was a stu dent at Oregon State college for some time, while Mr. Morgan Is a graduate of the University of Oregon, where he was an outstanding football player, as he was at the Medford high school. For the past two years he has been a regular tackle on the New York Giant professional football team, and last year received country-wide acclaim as the outstanding tackle In the world. Following the marriage ceremony, which will be read by Rev. Ralph 8. Peterson at the First Presbyterian church, there will be a small and Informal reception at the . Nooks Naumes, Walter Young to California School Robert "Nooks" Naumea and Walt er Young axe the first Medford stu dents to leave for college, both young men leaving for the University of Santa Clara, near San Jose. Nooks will drive down today, to enter his sophomore year, while Young will be registering for the first time.. Both are graduates of the Medford high school. Joint Meeting Med ford -Grants Pass Noble Grands The Past Noble Grands clubs of Medford and Grants Pass enjoyed a picnic and social get-together at Grants Pass park last Sunday. The husbands were Invited. Over eighty were seated at a long table on the lawn In the shade of mammoth oaks The Grants Pass people were on one side of the table, with Medford people on the other side, Everyone enjoyed the outing. The next meeting of the club will! be September 12 at the home of Mrs. Jessie Howard on West Jackson street. Pearsons Hosts To Mistletoe Club Thursday Mr. and Mrs. Carl Pearson were hosts last Thursday evening at their home. 118 Clark street, at a lovely covered dish supper sponsored by the Mistletoe club. The aupper was served on small tables on the lawn. Japanese lan terns were used as decorations and their soft glow with the trees, flow ers and shrubbery provided a most charming setting for the merry din ers.
