planing mill, located Just off the
Nell creek road and adjacent to the
southern Paclflo tracks.
Over a hall million board feet of
lumber have been trucked from the
Henry sawmill at Lincoln and piled
near the new mill tor planning as
soon as the structure Is completed
A blowing system, to eliminate
sawdust and shavings, arrived at the
site of the mill Tuesday and will
be completely installed In about two
weeks, estimates Henry. The planer
has already been installed and other
equipment will be put Into use later.
The framework of the building has
been completed.

Mrs. Mary Moore is recovering nice
ly from a recent major operation and
that she will soon be able to return to
her home.

Phoenix Grange met Tuesday night

Lecturer Mrs. Mildred Marshall. Mr.
Brown gave an entertaining reading,
which concluded the program.
Mrs. W. A. Brlcker was elected as
lfoturer to fill the vacancy caused by
the resignation of Mrs. Marshall.

rested around 4 a. m. Wednesday la

Ekwall. 45, 30 North Second street,
was held in the city Jail after she
admitted, according to police, break
ing Into the Bohemian club beer
parlor and OH arm's grocery store
earlier In the night and taking a
liberal amount of merchandise from
both establishments.
A burlap sack of assorted gro
ceries and meats, and two cartons
containing 17 bottles of beer and
fruit mixers were found at Mra.
Ekwall's residence by city police. The
sack contained candy, cookies, smoked
meat, cigarettes, gum, and bottled
and canned goods.
The Bohemian club was entered
through the rear door, the window
of which was broken out with an
axe. A screen on a rear window at
O'Harra's store as broken and the
unlocked window was raised to allow
entrance.
Police were notified of the rob
beries when the crash of the window
In the Bohemian club was heard la

whose husband, E. A. Ekwall, is em
ployed at Hilt, Calif., was appre
hended shortly afterwards.
