Do you want a deer? If so. Just apply to the Aahland LI thl a park commission and your wish will be fulfilled, as the commission has a bunch of deer on their hands In the upper park pen with the aged elk which they want to give away. They have found from repeated ex periences that It is useless to turn them out, as they like their feeding lot there so well that they Immedi ately return. In fact, there are re cruits outside the fence almost every evening, applying for admission. One reason the commission Is very desirous of giving them away Immed iately Is that the deer have eaten the undergrowth and there Is really very little there to eat now. Unless they can dispose of them at once, they will have to make an expenditure for feed, i This, of course, does not apply to the deer In the lower park pen. as they are one of the greatest attrac tions In ahe park. Local people and tourists and other visitors In the city flock to the lower park pen to view the deer and other animals In the park oo, but very few go to the up per pen where the deer are kept with the elk. The story carries Charlie Chan to the mystery-scented land of the Pha roahs. Priceless gold and Jeweled treasure have been taken from among those brought to light by the French Historical society's expedition, near Luxor on the Nile, and Charlie "han Is assigned to trace the theft and the thieves. A killer strikes and, with the shadowy hand of death casting Its gloom over the entire family of the expedition leader. Charlie Chan's skill and courage are tested to their limit.
