Last January, Mrs. Moreland came
here from Jasonvllle. Ind., In search
of property. In March she purchased
the Sardine creek property from the

sonvllle to dispose of realty holdings.
Recent floods in the midwest hnve
delayed her return to Oregon. She
and her parents will travel by motor
car. The property here comprises 160
acres, about 12 of which are cleared.
The lew; residence la considered a
showplaco of It kind and a model
of the house was exhibited last spring
at the Chamber of Commerce In Med
ford. Most of the work was done by
hand. The lotfa were all hand-hewn,
all the doors and window frames wore
made by hand, and the hardware,
fashioned like latches, was wrought
by a Gold Hill blacksmith. A unique
feature is that the partitions, as well
as the exterior, are logs. The house
was constructed by J. D. Bowdfsh
