Executive committee members are Oscar silver, retiring post commander, Paul Tay lor and Dr. W. J. Crandall. Fred Tayler and Paul McDonald, former vice-commander of the state department, were chosen as delegates to the atate convention at The Dalles, July 34-26. Installation of the new officers will not occur until the end of the sum mer, the present ataff to aerve until the last meeting In September or first session In October. Foots Creek Mrs. Opsl Oreen of Medford spent the last week end at the home of her brother, Ray Centers, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Horton Beeman and son, Jerry, and Jill Martin, visited In Grants Pass Saturday. Mrs. Maude Robinson, who Is at tending school In Eugene, spent from Wednesday until Sunday with home folks. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Varl Routh and children. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Routh, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Holdernesa and children. lrglnla Centers, Johephlne Robinson uid Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Clement and family picnicked on the Fourth at the Clement home. Leonard Ramsey, who works on the state htghway, visited with his family here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. M. O. MeOlthens of Shedd. Ore., are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. McCormlck. Mrs. MeOlthens and Mrs. McCormlck are sisters. Their mother, Mrs. Greg ory, Is also visiting here. Mr. and Mrs. Velty Biles. Mrs. Dora Hammersley and Charles Baige made a trip Tuesday to Sawyers Bar. Mr. Balge remained there to work. Mr. and Mrs. Lou Llnugren return ed Saturday from a visit In Portland. Mr. Llngren's brother accompanied them home. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Ethel and her mother. Mrs. Nelson, and niece, Miss Nelson, of Grand Coulee visited Sun day at the Geo. Dorman home. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hedeepeth of Crater Lake spent Sunday at the J. D. Hedgepeth home. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hedgepeth of Central Point visited with his brother and Mrs. J. D. Hedgepeth. Sunday. Mr. Bnd Mrs. Marvin Emery and children and Mr. and Mrs. Logan Gardner left Sunday for Riverside, Cel.. where they have work. FOOTS CREEK. July 11. (Spl.) George Stead while Mr. and Mra. Marlon Lance spent the day In Grants Paas. Mr. and Mra. George Lance, Jr., and Phyllis Miller, Clyde Martin and Sybil walker of Oold Hill enjoyed a picnic dinner In the Granta Paas park, with Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Cook of Gold Hill, Mr. and Mra. Floyd Lance and daughter Ruth of Wolf Creek, Hilda Mayfleld of Gold Hill and Mra. Clara Hearn of Grants Paas. Georgia, returned Sunday to their home at Orm Valley. Cal., after spending two weeks visiting relatives here. While here they enjoyed an outing of several daya at Crescent City and Oold Beach. Mr. and Mra. Wm. Ferguson spent Sunday and Monday at Sawyers Bar, Cal. Mr. Ferguson, who Is Interested In mining. Is well pleased with that place and later on may move there for worh In the mines. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gray left Sun day for Eugene, where Mr. Gray la at tending summer school. Mrs. Grny expects to visit for a week and then return here for a visit with her par nti, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kell. George Hammersley of Sawyers Bar, Cal., spent the Fourth with his fam ily here. Mrs. Rose Billings of San Francisco came Monday for a visit with her mother, Mrs. Msry Chlsholm.
