Ashland Ladies Receive Honor Two prominent Ashland women, Mrs. Edith B. MacCracken and Mrs Jessie E. Dodge, were selected for listing In "American Women," a vol ume of outstanding American worn- word from Ashland yesterday Indicated. Both Mrs. Dodge and Mrs. Mac Cracken have taken active part In civic, patriotic and educational af fairs of their home city and the state. Mrs. Dodge has served as state treasurer, corresponding secretary, second and first vice president, or ganizer and president of the P.E.O. Sisterhood in Oregon, and has been member of the state board for years. She has been active In Ashland and state P.-T.A., serving as vice president for six yesra, and is Inter ested in study club and the D.A.R. Mrs. MacCracken was organizing regent of Mount Ashland Chapter, D.A.R., and has served aa state re gent and on Important atate and na tional committees, and Is honorary state regent. She has taken active place in federated club work In Ash land and In the district, serving as president at one time.
