Knotts of the First Methodist Epis

Shasta for Salem, to attend an annual
church conference. The conference
lasts one week.

Fight to Be Announced Earl Foy
announced today that blow-by-blow
results of the Camera -Lou la prtae
fight will be announced tonight at
the American Legion dart game. Tne
service will be rendered through West
ern Union, with dispatches every two
minutes, as the fight Is not to be
broadcast from the ringside. The
fight is scheduled at 6 o'clock. Pacific
standard time.
Two-Mller Visits Elbert Sellers of
Seattle, who holds the pacific coss
record for the two-mile track event,
haa been a visitor in Medford over
the week-end with his uncle. Dr. .
W. Barnum. leaving for his home this
morning on the Shasta. Sellers Is
returning from the N. C. A. A. track
meet at Berkeley, In which he par
ticipated. His record, set at Corvallls
in 1829. is 9:27.5.

Train Men Arrive Among those

Atked "to Leave Town Three men.
all recently discharged from the tran
sient camp at Savage creek, and on
their way via, freight train to San
Francisco, stopped over In Medford
last night, and were arrested by 'city
police on a charge of being drunk
in a public place. All three pleaded
guilty in city court this morning, and
were given a choice of serving 10 days
In Jail or leaving town. They left
town. They were John Curran. 36;
Ed J. Otrouard, 30, and Ralph Owens,
41.

Owen D. Young, wife of the chairman
of the board of the General Electric
comfpany. died today at her estate at
Riverside, Conn., the General Electric
offices announced.
Mrs. Owen, the former Josephine
Sheldon Edmonds of South Bridge.
Mass.. had been in poor health for
several years.
In the 1928 campaign, when her
husband was frequently mentioned as
a possible presidential candidate the
General Electric chairman said his
wife's condition would not permit
him to enter actively Into public life.
They were married In June, 1898

Market for butter reflected the grow
ing weakness suggested not only lo
cally but through the country gener
ally. Losses of U to 1 cent were
scored In the cube trade during the
late session of the produce exchange.
Cut of 1 cent in the buying price
on butterfat automatically follows the
slash In butter.
Steadiness continued to be ahown
In the local egg trade. No price
changes were showing either for buy
ing or selling wltmn the local terri
tory. Even though there was no change
In the general cheese market, a cut
of 1 cent a pound was shown for
Oregon triplets and loaf on the ex
change during the late session. No
cut was made by Tillamook.
