the methods assertedly employed by !

counter-affidavits of the state.
One of the affidavits, charges that j
the mother of the girl, complaining j
witness, signalled her child, while ;
she was on the witness-stand, an- j
other that a dictaphone was used In
the county Jail. Affidavits denying
both charges will be ftted.
Sallee, through counsel, offered an :
alibi purporting to show he was on 1
his way to his Yankee Creek home,
during the hour of the crime.
Basil Petroff, 45, of Ashland, who
entered a plea of guilty, to a statu- :
tory offense Involving a six-year-old 1
girl, and afterwards renounced bis
signed statement admitting the :
crime, will also be sentenced. j
Other cases to be disposed of are: :
Floyd Sheppard, 18, Roseburg
youth, and George A. Roberts,- 20,

ty to auto theft. Sheppard Is an es
cape from the state training schuol

Henry M. Everhard, under a, sus
pended sentence for securing money
under false pretenses, who has enter
ed a plea of guilty to the sale of live
stock belonging to another.
Joe Woodcock, Gold Hill and Rogue
River district bxiteher, found guilty
with a recommendation of leniency,
by a elrcult court Jury, of sale of un
stamped meat.
