Colvers Have Visitors Mr, and Mrs. Geo. M. Altken of Long Beach. Cali fornia, are visiting this week at the Lloyd Colver homo at Phoenix. The Altkens are enroute from Long Beach to Bremerton. Mr. Bllton was formerly with the highway department with headquarters In Medford. Feldenhelmer Visits Elmer Felden hetmer of the Portland Gun club Is among the many out-of-town trap ahooters In this city over the week end. Mr. Feldenheimer la well known In southern Oregon having spent much time here In connection with his orchard property near Central Point. Stag Party Planned Southern Ore gon "Voyageurs" of the "40 et 8" fio clete will hold a big stag party at the American Legion hall In Ashland Saturday, June 22. The main event of the evening will be Installation of newly elected officers to serve dur ing the coming year. A large num ber of the 40 et 8'ers and Legion naires from Grants Pass, Ashland. MedTord and Klnmath Falls plan to attend. Talisman Lndpe to Meet -Last meeting of Talisman temple before summer vacation will be held next Wednesday evening In the K. P. hall. This Is Birthday night and will be observed by a covered dish supper at 8:30 o'clock. All visiting members are Invited. Regular business meeting will start promptly at 8 o'clock as there Is much Important business to transact. Mrs. Wm. Swartz, assisted by Mrs. A. J. Klein, Mrs. O. J. Newland returned to their home in Medford Friday night by motor from Sherman, Texas, where Mrs. Newman has been a patient for the past several months, recovering from serious Injuries received In an auto accident. She gets worried and has an appeal broadcast for him. Dunn hears It In a madcap Jail where favored prisoners are allowed tele phones, radios, cafe meals and occa sional levea. The reporter manages to buy a "temporary parole" but It quickly brought back by two kidnap ers, when the warden learnt his true Identity. Mae Clarke, about to marry another man. discovers her fiance's predica ment and goes to the jail to see him. While there she Is locked In. through Dunn's conr'vsnr. A reform com mittee arrives and a rib-rocking se quence winds up the film. E Foster of 512 North Bartlctt street. Miss Leona Hay ward, sister of Mrs. Barry and of Mrs. Foster, who has been here from Washington. Is expected to return with them. Prc-School Clinic Word from Tal ent yesterday stated that a pre school clinic will be held there In the city hall Monday at 1 o'clock. Dr. O. I. Drummond, assisted by Miss Runnels and Miss Welser will be In charge. All parents having children of the pre-school etje are urged to take advantage of this service. An nual school election will be held at Talent Monday evening at 6 o'clock. It was announced. L. G. Frlnk will be replaced as diTwtr and Prthena Terrell as clerk.
