Following la one of the scouts' report of this trip: "We left Wednesday morning from the Washington school. Mrs. Dean, Mrs. Smith aud Mra. D'Alblnl took all of us In their cars. Ruth Clark and Mona Hedges followed In their car with the food and moat of the bed rolls. We girls arrived at Mrs. Root's cabin In due time. Owing to a flat tire our lieutenants did not arrive with our lunches and bed rolls until past noon. "The afternoon passed quickly with bed making, rest hour and swimming. We swam Elk creek. The water was very cold so we did not stay in long. After swimming we all had I milk and graham crackers. After a filling and satisfying aupper we had a camp-fire program. Each patrol gave a skit and then we sang songs. At the conclusion of the evening we toasted marshmallows. "A few girls slept In the cabin and the rest of us slept outdoors. Break fast came at 8:30. After K. P. duty we went for a short walk up Elk creek. In the afternoon our leaders laid a treasure hunt. The trail led up hills, over logs and one clue was even on the dock. The treasure when found was composed of lollipops and candy sticks. "Soon after supper one car of girls left for home. Those of us who were left made fudge and then departed ior our own homes. "The leaders who accompanied us were Captain Lillian Humphrey. Mrs. Smith, Mona Hedges and Ruth Clark. The girls who enjoyed this outing were: Elsie Older, Mary Elizabeth Clark. Clavaa Fornler.
