Shrine hospital In Portland on June
11. It was announced at the meeting
that the club Junior director will
leave soon to attend the national
convention In St. Paul, Minn., from
June 23 to 27.

acquired a host of friends who will

casion, as will five daughters and
one son of this city. One other
daughter lives in Sacramento, and
the seventh In San Diego.

Attorney Ed C. Kelly returned to
Portland this morning after enjoying
an over-night visit with his parent.
Attorney and Mrs. E. E. Kelly, the
first since he and Mrs. Kelly, the for
mer Mary Oreiner. went to Washing
ton. D. C, two years ago when Mr.
Kelly was appointed on the legal
staff of the Public Works administra
tion. Mrs. Kelly, who Is suffering
from a cold remained in Portland,
but their two children, Bernard and
Noreen. accompanied their father
here and will visit their grandparents
for several days.
The Kellys arrived In Portland Sun
day after a strenuous six-day trip
from the capital by automobile, dur
ing which they encountered some ol
the floods which have caused havoc
in the middle-west of late. They will
make their home In Portland as Mr.
Kelly has been transferred to that
point upon the opening up of Ore
gon district offices by the P.W.A. ITie
new divisional headquarters, located
in he Falling building, has a staff
of twelve, according to Mr. Kelly, and
will probably employ more aa the
work demands.
According to Attorney Kelly the
Medford sewage disposal plant pro
ject which will be built through help
of the PWA. la ready for calling of
bids and it Is expected that the call
will be made June 13.
BRUNO COMPOSES
The army recruiting station, lo
cated on the second floor of the
city hall has a few vacancies for the
Hawaiian Islands In the .infantry,
field artillery, coest artillery, corps of
engineers, quartermaster corps, ana
medical department, also a few va
cancies in the coast artillery corps at
Fort Worden, Washington, for pre
vious service men only. One vacancy
exists for a qualified musician who
plays the cello or French horn, this
vacancy being In the infantry band.

sidered very enjoyable and instruc
tive In every respect.
