In the meantime the threatened appeal to the state supreme court to restrain the board of control from destroying the walls of the capitol has not yet made its appearance. An Informal faculty tea for sen iors will be given after the com mencement exercises Tuesday after noon in the college library, HISTORY GIVEN LIONS IN INTERESTING TALK At the meeting of the Medford lions club Wednesday noon at Ho tel Medford, Mr. Relnhart of the American Society of Automotive En gineers was the principal speaker. He gave a most interesting and in structive talk on the development and history of the petroleum Indus try, particularly relative to gasoline engines and gasoline, coupled with a practical demonstration of the principle of detonation and contrast between cheap and high grades of gasoline. He stated that about 80 years ago gasol'ne w& run Into sewers, when t,e iftrot oil well waa drilled, as ot no practical use, and traced the Brachial Improvement and develop ment of gasoline as a motor fuel.
