Dog races were but a memory, at
least for the time being, tn Van
couver today. The track was dark
last night following Judge J. E.
Stone's action In dissolving the tem
porary injunction which had pre
vented oiflclala from halting the
races.
The Evergreen Kennel club's "do
nation system" by which the events
were financed was declared illegal In
an attorney general opinion last
week, but Governor Martin's orders
to patrolmen to halt the races had
been thwarted for the time being
when officials of the track secured a
temporary restraining order Friday.
Judge Stone's refusal to issue a per
manent Injunction yesterday, how
ever, delayed operation of the "do
nation system" at least until the
hearing on the const ltutionahty of
the races set for June 18.
Chief William J. Cole of the state
traffic patrol let It be known fol
lowing yesterday's henrlng that he
would arrest the proprietors If races
were held.
It was Indicated the case would be
appealed to the supreme court re
gardless of the outcome of the pend
ing suit.

'TTHE American Chemical Society claims that
just pure water is not good enough for beer
making. Reason, indeed, why our subterranean
water of Tumwater makes Olympia Beer one of
the world's outstanding beers.
Few such perfect brewing waters exist at
Burton-on-Trent, England, world-famed for its
fine English Ales; at Munich, Germany, noted
for its lager beers; and at Tumwater, Wash.,
where the famous and original Olympia Beer
is made for your good health and enjoyment.
Serve It in Your Home
Olympia Beer is a wholesome, mildly stimu

from Denmark guarantees complete fermenta
tion which means that Olympia Beer is pre
digested and, therefore, non-fattening.
