Medford taxi company owner, Rankin Etes, pool hall opera tor, and Del Parker were arrested late Friday on charges of violation of the Knox liquor control law. The arrests were made by city and state police, working in conjunction with repre sentatives of the Oregon liquor con trol commission. Smith was charged with possession of liquor with the Intent to sell: Estes was charged with possession of moonshine whiskey, and selling wine by the glass without a license, and Parker was charged with possession of moonshine whiskey with the In tent to sell. He was arrested at a lo cal hotel. In Justice court yesterday, Parker and Estes pleaded guilty, and were cited to appear for sentence some time next week. Estes was released on $250 bond, and Parker was lodged In the county Jail. Smith pleaded not guilty, and was released on $250 bonds to appear next week. The arrests were made as a part of the drive by the State of Oregon against the Illicit liquor traffic, tn keeping with the drive launched some time ago by the federal government.
