April 10. (AP) This year's winter wheat production, as Indicated by the condition of the crop April J. was reported today by the department of agriculture to be 435,499.000 bushels, compared with 405.034.000 last year, 350.792.000 two years ago and 618.186,000, the 1928 33 average production. Winter wheat condition April 1 was 69.8 per cent of a normal, com pared with 77.8 on December 1 last year, 743 April 1 last year, 59.4 In 1933 and 78.9. the 1923-32 average. The condition of rye was 76. 4 per cent of a normal, compared with 80.4 on December l last year, 63.8 April 1 last year, 72 5 In 1933 and 82.3, the 1923-32 average. The condition of pastures was 68.7 per cent of a normal, compared with 67.1 a year ago, and 80.8, the 1923 32 nine year average. Early potatoes In southern states showed a condition of 76.2 per cent of a normal, compared with 76.0 a year ago, and peaches, 73.2 per cent of a normal, compared with 73.7 a year ago. Grain stocks on farms April 1 were: Corn. 438,180.000 bushels, compar ed with 841,498,000 a year ago. Wheat, 93,699,000 bushels, com pared with 116,208,000 a year ago. Oats, 208,185,000 bushels, compared with 275,425,000 a year ago. The condition of winter wheat on April 1 and the Indicated production this year follow: Oregon, 82 per cent of a normal, and Indicated production, 13,680, 000; Idaho, 88, and 10.355,000; Wash ington. 88, and 26.092,000; Califor nia, 89, and 11,260,000. INTERPLEADER IN FEHL JUDGMENT MAY BE DELAYED The Interpleader suit of Nleder meyer, Inc., against Earl H. Fehl. state prison Inmate serving four years for ballot-theft conviction, may not be heard before the middle ot May, it developed today. George' M. Roberts, attorney for Nledermeyer, Inc., reporttd today that he had requested a postpone ment until mid-May. Attorney Rob erts will be in Portland, after April 35, as chief defense counsel In the federal court trial of E. C. Sollnsky. former Crater Lake National park superintendent, charged with park funds misappropriation. Circuit Judge Carl E. Wlmberly of Douglas, as signed to hear the local case, has notified, attorneys he will be unable to come here until the week of April 22, owing to business In his own district. The interpleader seeks the pro-' rr.ting among creditors of Fehl of a supreme court Judgment award ot approximately $6000, against Nleder meyer, Inc. The chief claimants are Jackson county, seeking 93059 for the cost of trying Fehl In Klamath county, and Ted Helmroth of Grif fin Creek and Jesse T. Thomas of Ashland, who advanced funds to Fehl for the purchase of the , Pacific Rec ord Herald building on Sixth street at a sheriff's tax foreclosure sale They are now in possession of the building. Other claimants are Kelly and Kelly, attorneys, for $2000 attorneys fees for services In the original trial, and carrying the appeal to the state supreme court. Fehl, later In an affi davit, made In the penitentiary, al leged that the appeal was made "without authority by him." Other defendants named are Electa A. Fehl, and Corlnthia E. Statley. mother-in-law. Claimants filed ans wers charging that the transfer of the Parr libel suit Judgment by Fehl for $15,000 to Corlnthia E. Stailey was for the purpose of "defrauding creditors." F Frederick William Sollee. resident i of the Beagle district for the part five years, pw-ed away at his home t 7:15 Tuesday evening after a short Illness. Mr. Sol lee was born In Mis souri, August 7, 1889. He leaves to mourn his departure his widow, Mrs. Ruth Sollee; two daughters. Dena and Patricia; two sons, Florin and Pat, all at home. Funeral service will be conducted from the Perl Funeral Home. Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. W. R. Balrd officiating. Interment will take place In the Medford I. O. O. F. cemetery.
