Girl Scouts Awarded The Olrl Scout headquarters was attractively decorated last Monday evening for the purpose of conducting a cere mony, at which four girls were pre sented with the tenderfoot pin. This makes them members of the Girl Scouts of America. Those who re ceived this badge were Jean Leonard. Nancy Day, Peggy Dean and Ruth Nordlck. "We plan to maintain one-way traffic during the work." Engineer Ooodnlght said today, "but unless there is co-operation by the motor ing public, the highway will be closed on certain portions. It Is re quested that city and country auto lst use other afreets as much possible to lessen the traffic and danger of congestion and accidents- ine state highway board, does not want to divert the truffle nnlau absolutely necessary, but It will be none, it co-operation Is not forth coming." Ooodnlght also requested that "sightseeing motorists" refrain from traveling by the work, while under way. "The contractors and the state highway board desire a first-class Job. and this csn be accomplished only by the help of motorists." he said. Goodnight said that traffic from the north could reach the business district, by using the McAndrews road to North Central avenue, and Crater Lake Highway traffic could travel to East Main and enter the downtown section by that route.
