Oldenburg of Med ford occupying the pulpit. Everyone is invited to attend these services. Eagle Point play cast presented "The Care of the Adolescent Young" at the Lake Creek Grange hall Satur day evening, sponsored by the Lost Creek Extension unit, which served refreshments. The door receipts were divided between the two units, net ting each $3.85. The dinner sponsored by the ladles of the P.-T. A. was very well at tended Wednesday evening. The sum of $30 was taken In. This will go to pay bills accumulated through serving hot lunches to the pupils the past few months. A very successful meeting of the Extension unit was held at Mrs. Irva Seaman's Friday with la members present. Miss Lucy Case, nutrition specialist, presented the second les son on menu planning and correct usage of table service. Next meeting will be on "Bread Making," at Mrs. J. E. Ousterhout's in March. The old Klncaid dance hall Is a thing of the past, having been re cently torn down by Robert LaRocque and Ed Clngcade. Columbia Utilities will erect a new telephone exchange in the near future. Mrs. George Wright gave a party for the young people Thursday even ing which was greatly enjoyed. The many frlenda of George stead were ahocked and grieved Wednesday afternoon when It became known that he had passed away at his home here of a sudden heart attack. Mr. Stead had been around town as usual about 3:30. He waa in the room with hla step-daughter, Mrs. Marlon Lanco when without much of a warning he passed away. Mr. Stead waa about 70 yeara of age and had been a resident of Rogue River for about three yeara.
